Vue Cinema’s

Vue has 91 state-of-the-art cinemas throughout the UK and Ireland, with over 870 screens. This includes 271 3D screens, 11 Extreme Screens, 7 Gold Class screens, 6 Scene Screens and Bars and 3 IMAX screens where Vue project the majority of our films in Sony Digital Cinema 4K for ultra high definition pictures with four times more detail. With over 150,000 seats, 98% of which are stadium seating, Vue’s innovative development programme has led the way in the UK. Vue Westfield London (February 2010) and Vue Westfield Stratford City (September 2011) remain the first and third highest-grossing cinemas in the country.

Vue Cinemas around the UK offer a range of content, in addition to highly anticipated blockbusters, with event cinema titles including opera, ballet, musicals, national theatre, live streaming of sporting events and concerts through to hosting Gaming championships and dedicating multiple screens to eGaming arenas.

Odeon Cinema’s

Founded in 1930, ODEON is the largest and best-known cinema chain in the UK and Ireland. Since then, the world-famous ODEON Luxe Leicester Square has hosted hundreds of Europe’s biggest film premieres and is now the first Dolby Cinema™ in the UK.

Perry Barr in Birmingham saw the first ODEON cinema open in 1930, and established the brand as not only somewhere to watch films, but somewhere to experience them too. Iconic art deco architecture and the very latest technology became synonymous with ODEON where you didn’t just go to see a film, you went to the cinema.

Today we’re owned by AMC Theatres, the largest movie exhibition company in the world, and our passion for film and the whole cinema experience is so deep-rooted that it is embodied in everything we do. 

Empire Cinemas

Empire Cinemas was founded in 2005 following the mergers of Odeon and UCI and Cineworld and UGC. The Office of Fair Trading ruled that both new groups should lose a number of their cinemas which created an opportunity for Empire Cinemas to be created. We took our name from the iconic Empire Leicester Square which has been one of London’s most popular cinemas since it played host to the first moving images screened to a UK audience in 1896. It was our flag ship until its sale to Cineworld in August 2016.

Today, they’re the leading independently-owned cinema chain in the UK with 14 locations and 129 screens including our brilliant IMPACT® and IMAX® screens.

Merlin Cinemas

Cinema-going is a central element of the UK leisure market, but not every town can sustain a huge multiplex. The opportunity to create smaller movie theatres to cater for such places is what Merlin Cinemas specialises in, bringing the magic of the movies to smaller towns and communities where the major cinema chains are not present. There are currently 17 Merlin Cinemas across the UK.

Showcase and Showcase Cinema de Lux are owned and operated by National Amusements, Inc., a world leader in the motion picture exhibition industry operating 816 screens in the U.S., U.K., Argentina and Brazil. National Amusements delivers a superior entertainment experience in cinemas around the world under its Showcase, Multiplex, Showcase Cinema de Lux and UCI brands. Based in Massachusetts, National Amusements is a closely held company operating under the third generation of leadership by the Redstone family. National Amusements is the parent company of ViacomCBS.

The Light Cinemas

The Light Cinemas is a British independent cinema chain. 

The cinema chain offers mainstream and independent films in a premium environment, with standard cinema ticket prices. All their Cinemas are fully licensed and include a café bar offer. The Light currently have 12 independent cinema around the UK.

Reel Cinema’s

The REEL story began in 2001 when the Curzon cinema in the town of Loughborough, Leicestershire was acquired, as part of a major property development project. It became apparent that there was a significant opportunity to launch a company that focused on designing and operating state-of-the art multiplex cinemas which did not require large footprints while still offering a wide choice of movies, excellent customer service and good value for money. It was at this point that the Curzon Leisure Group was formed with the aim of providing tailored cinema experiences to specific market sectors within town centre environments.

Scott Cinemas

Scott Cinemas operate in 11 locations across the south and southwest of England. The Central Cinema in Barnstaple was named the RAAM Independent UK Cinema of the Year in 2008, and in the same year the Savoy Cinema in Exmouth received an Award of Excellence in the same category.
